This position is responsible for performing quality testing such as titration and water hardness analysis, executing precise changeovers, and ensuring all safety, OSHA, and GMP standards are strictly followed in a high-hazard chemical environment. Success in this role is measured by batch accuracy, product quality, compliance adherence, minimal downtime during changeovers, and maintaining a strong safety record while supporting overall plant production goals.The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with occasional Saturdays as needed; the pay rate is $28.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential for employees working second or third shift.What You'll DoPerform quality checks such as titration, filter testing and water hardness testingPerform change over processOperating a continuous blending / batching process for bleach and ammonia productsFollow guidelines for wastewater treatmentFollow guidelines for proper disposal of all waste materialsComply with all OSHA Hazard Materials ProceduresComplete appropriate paperwork as requiredFollow all safety and GMP guidelinesFollow all policies and procedures as applicableCarefully follow detailed procedures to complete the batching processPerform mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and divisionIdentify information and fill out all process sheets as requiredSafely handle various chemicals used in the batching processWhat You'll BringHigh-school diploma for GED equivalent2+ years' experience in processing / batching manufacturingGood communication skills [both verbal and written]Must have a good mathematical aptitudeAble to work overtime when required.Must be a part of the site emergency response teamBasic Computer skillsWill be required to participate in a background checkConstant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical productsWorking with unpleasant odors and fumesHigh noise levelsConsistent heavy lifting, 50lbs or greaterFlammable, combustible, and corrosive chemicals are present in working environmentHigh-pressure environment which is continually changingAbility to climb stairs and laddersMust be able to wear a full-face respirator and Level A suit as necessaryWhat You Will GetKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
