Hardware Engineer
We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Design and develop complex electrical boards, including single board computers, FPGA, switch, and input/output cards for high-speed data processing applications.• Create custom form-factor systems incorporating hardware, software, and firmware security elements, including advanced thermal management methods.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into practical hardware designs, considering performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.• Conduct hardware design analysis, troubleshooting, and technical evaluations throughout the development lifecycle.• Support hardware verification, qualification, and production by developing and executing test plans and resolving technical issues.• Apply engineering best practices to enhance product performance, reliability, and time-to-market.What You'll Need• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.• Minimum 5 years of experience in defense embedded systems and hardware design, including SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O card development.• Experience designing mixed-signal, high-speed digital, analog, and low-power, high-current circuits in high-reliability environments.• Proficiency with PCB design tools and methodologies, including high-density interconnect (HDI) designs.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a schedule-driven environment.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($94,900 - $130,000) plus bonus potential.• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.• Opportunities for learning and professional development.• Retirement savings plan with employer match and profit sharing.Apply via Haystack today!
