Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead and oversee roofing projects from start to finish. In this vital role, you will coordinate daily operations on commercial roofing sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Your leadership will drive project success by managing teams, communicating effectively with clients and subcontractors, and maintaining strict adherence to project plans and schedules. LOCATED IN IDAHO, RELOCATION APPLICANTS ENCOURARGED TO APPLY Must have at Least 20 Years of Roofing Experience Responsibilities Supervise all aspects of commercial roofing projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution on-site. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion. Lead safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment to complete roofing tasks efficiently. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately interpret project requirements. Manage daily site activities such as material delivery, quality inspections, and progress tracking. Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA regulations, and company standards throughout each project phase. Conduct quality control inspections related to roofing systems like membrane roofs, metal panels, or built-up roofing. Mentor crew members in proper techniques for roofing installation, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco work, and other related trades. Document project progress through detailed reports and maintain accurate records of work performed. Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating and project planning within the commercial roofing sector. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding systems, and heavy lifting equipment. Strong knowledge of roofing materials such as membrane systems, metal panels, or asphalt-based products. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision. Familiarity with construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction documentation. Experience with related trades including carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (masonry work), plumbing (for roof drainage), welding (metal fabrication), tile laying (roof tiles), framing carpentry (metal stud framing), restoration work, caulking techniques, stucco application, concrete forming and fabrication. Hands-on experience in remodeling projects or maintenance person tasks is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively on busy sites. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members alike.
