Job Purpose
Baristas at Reverie Coffee Roasters create exceptional coffee and genuine connections. They craft beverages and serve world class food with care, uphold our service standards, and help make every guest feel welcome.
Duties and responsibilities
· Contribute to positive environment geared for exceptional customer service focus on customers.
· Work in tandem with other teammates to accomplish regular tasks for care and maintenance of workspace while consistently attending to the needs of the people we serve.
· Protect all Reverie has worked so hard to accomplish by operating within the guiding principles: Embrace humility. Resist complacency. Honor people.
· Work schedule includes at least one weekend day availability.
· Working in a fast paced, high volume café.
· Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
· Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
· Sells coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates.
· Receives drink/food orders and payment.
· Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques.
· Clear and reset tables in bar area (when applicable)
· Make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages.
· Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and other food items for coffee bar.
· Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
· Maintains clean and safe work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
· Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store, coffee bar and exterior spaces of café property.
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
· Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience minimum is ideal.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
