It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.Job DescriptionThe Equipment & Yard Supervisor is responsible for identifying all items coming into the yard, inspecting the assets on Ritchie Brothers Auction platforms, and displaying the equipment in an orderly fashion. When the asset transacts, exiting the assets out of the yard within our administrative systems. From time to time, inspections will happen outside or the RBA site, these inspections will be coordinated with Chehalis Equipment Manager.ResponsibilitiesResponsible to manage, monitor, maintain, and implement the auction site’s Ritchie Bros. Inspection Operations (RBIO) Program standards, procedures, best practices, and guidelines and integrate those efforts with the yard layout and equipment set up proceduresMaintain strong connectivity with the Designated On-Site Safety and Environmental Coordinator and promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees is top priority for allAssist in the development, evolution, and adherence of our EH&S policies and procedures including our efforts to achieve COR certificationOversee the efforts of Refurbishing as it relates to the schedule, budget, quality control, and accounting of refurbishing operationsOversee RBIO quality controlAssist on the road with inspections and appraisals, travel will happenOversee the customer experience as it relates to Yard and DEI at the auction siteRecommend best practices to improve Yard and DEI processesOversee the production of sale advertising materialsMonitor key performance indicatorsIntegrate the efforts of the Operation’s Team with the objectives of the Sales teamActively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for the your safety and safety of your team, co-workers,and customersPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications 5 years related work experienceHave a valid, clean driver’s licenseClimb on and off large equipment and trucksWork both indoors and outdoors year-roundWork regular overtime, including weekend hours at the auction salesWork extra hours for three weeks prior to each sale, during each sale, and for two weeks after each saleTravel to other auction sites when necessary
