In this role, you will be able to leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management and work cross-functionally to maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements. YOUR TASKSSupervise, guide and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance and special projects of all machinery and equipmentBe responsible for overseeing all vendors on property, negotiating with vendors to reduce overhead costs and any facility related repairs and general upkeepDelegate work projects for the improvement of efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operationsMaintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing downtime of equipmentAssist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes or CAPEX projectsDevelop and modify equipment to meet the department’s production, quality or layout requirementsVendors include but not limited to housekeeping, recycling, trash and miscellaneous day to day requirementsAssist in new building selection and fit out to meet arvato specificationResponsible for ensuring conveyor system is safe, efficient and operational 100% of warehouse hours (24/7 operation)Understands all systems and components both mechanical and electricalUnderstands all hardware components and software applicationsProactively perform all preventative maintenance tasks according to scheduleCleaning and housekeeping of all conveyor system parts and areasAbility to troubleshoot, maintain and repair conveyorResolve issues efficiently ensuring minimal downtime for operationsEnsure tool and spare parts inventory is kept at 100%Flexibility (as needed) with start and end time to accommodate needed maintenance and troubleshootingOn-call for all emergencies by phone and onsite if requiredPlan and coordinate all installations (HVAC, Electricity etc.) and refurbishmentsManage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet production needs, and health and safety standardsInspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovationsReview utilities consumption and strive to minimize costsReview Contracts, and Service AgreementsSupervise all staff facilities staff (temporary workers, contracted custodians, technicians) and all external contractorsYOUR PROFILEAt least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experienceMust possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experiencePrevious experience supervising othersMust be able stand for long periods of timeMust be able to work in a non-climate controlled environmentMust be able to work long hours including overtime if neededAbility to travel up to 10% of the timeWE OFFERMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability Pay. 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.
