Responsibilities Work under the direction of the Assigned Foreman as part of a field crew constructing ground-level and foundation-based water storage tanks. Perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) using 6010 and 7018 rods, ensuring strong, consistent, and high-quality welds. Set up, operate, and adjust welding machines and tools for various processes and materials. Weld, grind, gouge, and finish metals primarily at ground level in controlled work areas. Maintain and inspect tools, machinery, and materials before and during work. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure a safe, organized worksite. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor direction at all times. Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks to support the team and jobsite operations.
