Driller Assistant

Responsibilities
Assist the lead driller with setting up drilling equipment
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components to ensure safety and optimal performance
Help manage site safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, including proper handling of tools and machinery
Participate in site preparation activities, including moving materials with heavy equipment like excavators and water trucks
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety checks
Requirements
Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, forklifts, or water trucks is highly preferred
Mechanical knowledge
Familiarity with construction site safety standards, especially OSHA regulations
Valid driver’s license (CDL)
Construction site experience with a focus on oil & gas projects or pipeline installation is advantageous
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness
Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and procedures
