11-50About the RoleThe Company is in search of a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead the strategic and operational aspects of its leadership development programs. The CPO will be a key figure in the organization's growth and integration, with a focus on shaping the future of its statewide portfolio. This senior leader will be responsible for program excellence, curriculum innovation, and delivery at scale, ensuring that all programs are impactful, culturally responsive, and aligned with the mission to strengthen democracy. The role demands a visionary who can also execute, with a strong emphasis on both human-centered leadership and disciplined systems. The CPO will work closely with the executive team to define and advance a cohesive program strategy, lead a high-performing program team, and build the necessary infrastructure to support program excellence.Candidates for the CPO position at the company should have a deep alignment with its mission and a commitment to nonpartisan, cross-sector leadership development. A minimum of 10 years' senior leadership experience in program design, curriculum development, and adult learning is required, preferably within mission-driven or civic organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in facilitation, experiential learning, and the ability to lead and scale high-quality programs. Strong operational, project management, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage diverse audiences. The CPO will also be expected to be a data-informed decision-maker, using evaluation and metrics to guide program strategy and ensure financial sustainability.Hiring Manager Title
