Middle School Elementary Special Education Teacher in Lorain, OH

This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with both elementary and middle school students in inclusive learning environments, helping them reach their fullest potential. You will be managing two distinct caseloads: Elementary (K-4): Approximately 10 students in an inclusion setting, focusing on individualized supports and collaborative teaching.Middle School (7th & 8th grades): Splitting a caseload of about 29 students, facilitating learning in both inclusion classrooms and small group pull-out sessions. Desired Qualifications:Valid teaching license (Special Education certification required)Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferredDeep understanding of IEP development and implementationCommitment to inclusive education practicesStrong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to adapt instruction to varying learning styles and needs Key Responsibilities:Deliver specialized instruction within inclusive settings and targeted small groupsDevelop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Work alongside general education teachers to modify curriculum and classroom activitiesTrack and report student progress, maintaining accurate recordsEngage families and caregivers as partners in student growthAttend staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development sessions This position offers a dynamic platform to make a measurable impact in students' lives.
