Position: Pipefitter Location: Greenville, SCJob Type: On-site (100%)Reportsto: Department ManagerDepartment: North American OperationsPosition Purpose: Pipefitter is responsible for installing, fabricating, and assembling piping systems according to engineered drawings and project specifications. This role supports onsite operations by performing accurate measurements, fitting, welding, and fabrication across a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, C-PVC, copper, and threading piping systems. Pipefitter ensures all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards while supporting efficient project execution at the site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.Works safely at all times.Read tape measures (metric and standard)Fabricate correctly from engineered drawingsTake precise field measurementsPerform welding and/or fabrication of Carbon Steel piping, Stainless Steel piping, PVC piping, C-PVC piping, copper piping, and screw pipe systemsPerform welding, soldering, threading, or other fabrication techniques as required by project specificationsInspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety codes, quality standards, and project specifications.Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for pipe fabrication and installationCollaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completionMaintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all workplace safety and PPE requirementsAdhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.All other duties assigned by Leadec manager.Competencies:Managing ComplexityAction OrientationManaging TasksOpen CommunicationSelf-ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.Ability to work independently and solve problems related to fitting, layout, and fabricationAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment commonly used in pipefittingAbility to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in fast-paced environmentsCapability to adapt to changing project needs and work conditionsSkills in performing precise measurements and field adjustmentsKnowledge of welding, soldering, cutting, and fabrication techniques for multiple pipe typesPosition Qualifications:3+ years of pipefitting experienceMust have their own hand toolsMust be able to read tape measure (metric and standard)Must be able to fabricate correctly from engineered drawingsMust be able to take precise field measurementsMust be able to perform welding and/or fabrication of Carbon Steel piping, Stainless Steel piping, PVC piping, C-PVC piping, copper piping, and screw pipe systemsPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
