Job Title: Engineering ManagerLocation: On Site - Freeport, Texas, United StatesSalary: $120,000-$140,000Skills: Asset Management, Reliability, Capital projects, iso 55000, Plant EngineeringAbout the Wholesale Recyclable Materials Company / The Opportunity:Join a continuous-process catalyst recycling facility within the wholesale recyclable materials industry, where engineering excellence supports safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective operations. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape asset management strategy, improve plant reliability, and deliver capital investments that support long-term operational performance. As Engineering Manager, you will serve as the plant engineering authority and a key member of the leadership team in Freeport, Texas.Responsibilities:Lead the plant engineering function while promoting safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.Develop and execute the Asset Management Framework in alignment with ISO 55000 principles and the Strategic Asset Management Plan.Establish lifecycle management strategies, inspection programs, preventive maintenance strategies, sustaining capital plans, and major equipment renewals.Improve equipment reliability, maintainability, asset availability, and lifecycle costs through engineering analysis and root cause failure investigations.Lead the plant capital improvement program, including project scopes, budgets, schedules, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.Serve as the technical authority for plant engineering matters and support hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical operations through troubleshooting and equipment monitoring.Lead Process Hazard Analyses, Management of Change activities, engineering standards, and operating parameter development.Develop and lead the engineering team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.Must-Have Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.10 or more years of engineering experience in heavy industrial or continuous-process manufacturing.At least 5 years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience.Demonstrated experience managing capital projects from concept through commissioning.Experience leading an Asset Management Program aligned with ISO 55000 principles.Strong knowledge of plant engineering, equipment reliability, lifecycle management, and inspection strategies.Ability to work safely in industrial environments and respond to outages, emergencies, and operational requirements.Nice-to-Have Skills:Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.Experience with catalyst recycling, hydrometallurgical, or pyrometallurgical processes.Expertise in Root Cause Failure Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, and Management of Change.Experience developing engineering standards and sustainable process improvements.Knowledge of capital budgeting, project performance evaluation, and engineering department budgeting.Experience coordinating engineering contractors, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional plant teams.
