Special Ed Teacher - Greensboro, North Carolina

Located in Greensboro, NC, this contract position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher from January 5, 2026, through May 22, 2026, within a dynamic school setting supporting students with severe disabilities.This full-time role requires dedication Monday through Friday, working 35 hours per week, managing a caseload of 10 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. The students served have diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), non-verbal communication, challenging behaviors, and developmental delays. Collaborating with a team of three special education teachers, this position emphasizes adaptive curriculum development and individualized support.Key Qualifications:Active North Carolina teaching license in Adaptive Curriculum - Cross-Categorical Special Education.Experience working with K-12 students with severe disabilities.Ability to manage and adapt instruction for students with autism spectrum disorder, non-verbal communication needs, and behavioral challenges.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team of special education professionals.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment tailored to individual student needs.Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), utilizing adaptive teaching methods, monitoring student progress, and supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development.
