QA / QC - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Summary: The Line Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-process inspection of products ensuring the quality of product throughout production.Duties/Responsibilities:Follows standard operating procedures and controlled documentsVerifies the accuracy of raw materials brought to the production lineVerifies the accuracy of documents filled out by productionPerforms all testing outlined in master work order including in-process production data as well as packagingConfirms calibration of all gauges for accuracyWorks with QA Laboratory Technician to maintain proper calibration of gaugesCollaborates with mechanics and Production Line Supervisors to immediately communicate any results that are out of specification to ensure production meets all specificationsFollows proper procedure for alerting others within the Quality Department for disposition of out of specification resultsDrives continuous improvement of testing procedures and documentation to ensure quality is maintained while optimizing efficiencyRetrieves retained production samples as required by customer and assists QA Laboratory Technician in management of samplesMeets deadlines in a timely and accurate mannerIdentifies gaps in process and procedureRequired Skills/AbilitiesAttention to detail and thoroughnessCommunication skills-verbal and writtenQuality, GMP and industry knowledgeAccountability and responsibilityMaintain clean and organized workspaceEffective prioritization and self-motivation skillsAbility to interpret and correlate dataAbility to read, record data, and follow instructionsBasic math skillsTeamwork and positive attitudeEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious quality experience in manufacturing preferredPhysical/Safety Requirements:95% standing, bending and walkingAbility to lift up to 40 lbsHearing and eye protection required in production areas
