Corporate Office (La Crosse, WI)Human Resource ManagerThe HR Manager at Eagle Crest Communities is a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for overseeing HR operations across multiple long-term care campuses. This role leads a team of HR Generalists and a Recruiter, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR service delivery that strengthens culture, supports leaders, and enhances the employee experience. The HR Manager partners closely with the HR Director, Administrators, DONs, and organizational leadership, to drive workforce stability, compliance, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.The successful HR Manager at Eagle Crest Communities will be:Visible on campuses and known as a trusted partnerDecisive, with strong judgement and fairnessOrganized, with disciplined follow-throughCulture-focused, reinforcing accountability and recognitionData-informed, using metrics to guide decisionsSupportive, developing HR team members into confident contributorsApproachable, demonstrating active listening skillsEmotionally intelligent, able to relate and communicate effectively with an array of individualsA problem solver with the ability to provide recommendations and options to help solve problems - work to listen and gain understanding before making decisionsA servant leader, able to establish collaborative and positive relationships, understanding the needs of othersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.5+ years of progressive HR experience; long-term care or healthcare a plus.Experience with HRIS platforms is required, and UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) experience is a plus.Experience leading HR staff (Generalists, Recruiters, or similar roles).Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices.Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple locations.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESLead the day-to-day HR operations of Eagle Crest Communities while nurturing the future growth of the organization as it relates to HR initiatives.Leadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and develop HR Generalists and Recruiter to ensure high performance, accountability, and professional growth.Establish clear expectations, workflows, and service standards across Eagle Crest Communities campuses.Foster a culture of visibility, responsiveness, fairness, and disciplined follow-through.Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningOversee recruiting strategies to ensure timely hiring for clinical and non-clinical roles.Partner with HR Generalists and Recruiter to monitor pipelines, reduce time-to-fill, and strengthen candidate experience.Collaborate with campus leaders to forecast staffing needs and develop proactive recruitment plans.Employee Relations & CultureCollaborate with team to develop and implement an overall talent acquisition and workforce retention strategy for the organization.Work to balance advocacy of Eagle Crest Communities, those we serve, management and employees.Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.Ensure consistent application of policies and coach leaders to build strong, healthy teams.Support culture-building initiatives that reinforce belonging, recognition, and accountability across Eagle Crest Communities.Compliance & HR OperationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and long-term care regulatory requirements.Oversee onboarding, I-9s, licensure tracking, background checks, and personnel file accuracyServe as the primary point of contact for HRIS troubleshooting, configuration updates, and user support. Ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and system optimization within HRIS.Facilitate the performance feedback cadence and protocols within the organization through our HRIS.Training & DevelopmentEquip leaders and managers with tools and coaching for effective hiring, performance conversations, and retention.Support HR Generalists in delivering campus-level training and onboarding.Identify skill gaps and recommend development opportunities.Metrics & Continuous ImprovementTranslate the HR strategic goals of Eagle Crest Communities into clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations within the HR team. Provide direction and vision and allow the team to execute.Monitor key HR metrics and develop dashboards when needed.Use data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement.Standardize HR processes across Eagle Crest Communities for efficiency and consistency.Collaborate with HR Director and CFO to ensure total compensation plans are competitive as well as fair and equitable within the organization.Periodically conduct stay interviews to keep a pulse on what is working well and areas for improvement within the organizationRemain current on HR trends and legislation.
