With a commitment to precision, reliability, and innovation, we empower our customers to achieve unparalleled performance in their applications.  General Description: The Mechanical Assembly Technician position will build and test electro-mechanical motion control devices with sub-micron precision. This position is involved in the full build from the beginning through final test and certification of a variety of products. The Mechanical Assembly Technician will also work closely with the Engineering team, providing feedback for continued product design improvement. This is accomplished through the following essential functions: • Receive Work Orders, gather tools and supplies, follow assembly processes and / or verbal instructions, and test assemblies. • Complete assembly and building of components. • May test production or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications. • Document any issues encountered during the build. • Track and accurately record time spent on each build. • Build in accordance with industry quality standards. • Crosstrain on different skills and assemblies. • Constantly apply Continuous Improvement methods. • Clean and maintain cleanliness of work area. • Maintain constant communication with your supervisor about job progress. • Complete other tasks as assigned. Job Requirements: • Successfully complete a criminal background check. • Speak, read, and write English fluently. • Read and comprehend assembly parts lists, assembly drawings and any related reference documentation. • Regular and reliable attendance. • Flexibility to work overtime as business needs dictate. Skills & Abilities: • Ability to multi-task and work independently. • Ability to work with and read precision hand tools (e.g., Digital or Dial calipers, Digital or Dial Micrometers, tape measures, and wire cutting tools.) • Ability to work from diagrams and drawings. • Ability to accurately read and interpret written work instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams. • Ability to use set-up documents and operation procedures for manufacturing specifications and understand GD&T. • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills. • Good mechanical aptitude and data gathering skills. Work Experience & Knowledge Requirements: • Possess math skills normally associated with a two-year Engineering degree. • Experience using MS Office including Word and Excel. Education Requirements: • Associates degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
