Job Description Job Opportunity: Orthopaedic Hand, Shoulder, and Upper Extremity SurgeonOur organization is on the lookout for a highly qualified, fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Hand, Shoulder, and Upper Extremity to enhance our dedicated team. In this role, you will focus on diagnosing and treating patients with various injuries or conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient consultations to evaluate medical histories and current health conditions.Formulate and execute treatment strategies for Orthopaedic patients, incorporating both surgical and non-surgical methods.Perform surgical procedures related to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.Qualifications and RequirementsMedical degree from an accredited institution.Completion of an Orthopaedic Surgery residency program.Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.Fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.Possession of a valid medical license with the capability to secure a Pennsylvania license.Strong ability to thrive in a collaborative private practice environment.Working ConditionsOur organization has proudly operated as a successful physician-owned and managed practice for nearly 46 years. Our diverse team of orthopaedic specialists ensures that all patient needs are met under one roof, promoting a coordinated approach to orthopaedic health.Benefits and Growth OpportunitiesJoin our team of 10 fellowship-trained orthopaedic physicians and 17 skilled physician assistants. We also employ 22 Physical Therapists and 4 Occupational/Certified Hand Therapists, offering extensive outpatient rehabilitation services, including aquatic therapy. Additional resources include an on-site Orthotist for brace and orthotic fittings, as well as a specialist for EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies. Our facilities are equipped with office ultrasound, x-ray services, and Platelet Rich Plasma Injection Therapy, among other offerings. We operate walk-in Orthopaedic Urgent Care Centers for emergency visits and direct referrals, with five office locations in the Pittsburgh suburbs.Due to the growth of our practice, we are looking for a hand/shoulder/upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon to join us in 2026. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient-centered care, contribute to practice expansion, and work effectively within a team. An interest in providing general orthopaedic care is preferred. The position involves minimal on-call emergency coverage, with no level I trauma responsibilities.Certification RequirementsBoard Certified or Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania state medical license.
