Directors are expected to have reliable attendance at meetings, be passionate public speakers, and demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental justice and water-focused advocacy.Candidates for the Board of Directors should be prepared to make a significant commitment, including a Duty of Care and a Duty of Loyalty. Key responsibilities include adopting and amending the organization's goals, approving budgets, and addressing conflicts of interest. The ideal candidate will have a focus on facilitation, be conflict resolution savvy, and have a deep understanding of the social, political, and environmental landscape of the communities served.
