Come join our team!Salary commensurate upon skill set, experience and competency in similar role(s).Job DutiesComplete and maintain oversight and coordination of the route and dispatch functionControlling the costs of operationsSafety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies and proceduresSecurity of cargo and terminal through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies and proceduresInvestigating accidents and processing required paperworkDeveloping and maintaining customer service capabilities among all operations staff.Responding to customer inquiries and/or complaintsCoordinating with sales, other branches and departments, District and corporate staff, other carriers, and vendorsControlling overtime hours. Monitoring employee vacation schedules. Maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of operational functionsShort and long-range operational planning to meet branch goalsCommunication with all employees to immediately resolve any outstanding issues and/or complaintsCompletion of any and all additional responsibilities that are assigned by the Branch Manager and/or other Management Team Members on an “as needed” basisKnowledge of transit vault, coin vault, and CMS operationsConsult with and accept advice/direction from the Operations/Branch Manager on a daily basisResponsible for training, counseling, disciplining, conducting, and evaluating employees under their direction dailyCommunicate with customers on a regular basisCommunication with sales and administration on an “as needed” basis regarding updates of service, customers, and payroll issuesAssume limited responsibilities during the absence of the Operations/Branch Manager on an “as needed” basisDirect operations to meet broad branch objectives within policy guidelinesDirect vault operations, including structure and scheduling, establish procedures, and enforce policyProfitability of the branch, as related to the quality and efficiency of operations; operation cost within guidelines, as providedControl of losses through the implementation of effective risk management, training, supervision, and disciplineControl of damages and injuries through the implementation of safety programs, training, supervision, and disciplineHigh level of observable safety, security, and effectiveness of operating practices and use of equipmentLeadership by example – modeling appropriate behaviors and regular observation/ monitoring of route activities and crew needsSelf-development and subordinates through on-the-job training and other trainingAnalyze complex factors to decide appropriate actions and resolve situations not covered by set policies or proceduresEnsure proper balancing of the vault daily for each shiftTimely completion of monthly commitments as assigned by Operations/BranchRequirementsMinimum of 3 years of operations experience in a vault, cash, or coin processing environment.Excellent analytical and math skills and accuracy are essential.Must possess solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems is required.Familiarity with computerized timekeeping systems and cash processing equipment is preferred.Must be able to work extended hours, some Saturdays, and some holidays.Essential Functions/Job QualificationsAbility to maintain a stooped or squatting position for several minutes to perform the sorting function.Ability to walk continuously between bins, vaults, booths, and counters.Ability to stand on the concrete floor for approximately 80 percent of the shift.Ability to sign and record numbers by hand, make entries on records, and prepare reports.Ability to meet State requirements for handgun license/permit or Security Officer Commission.RequiredAs part of the qualification process for the Vault Supervisor position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required.
