Benefits Specialist (Hybrid)
Are you passionate about employee benefits and well-being programs?About The RoleThis position is responsible for administering health, welfare, and well-being programs. You will play a key role in attracting and retaining talent by ensuring these programs are effectively communicated and compliant with regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact for health & welfare benefits and well-being program administration.Collaborate with IT, Payroll, and HRIS for open enrollment processes.Provide expertise and administration on leave of absence matters, including FMLA and ADA accommodations.Facilitate new hire benefit orientation and assist with training.Process workers' compensation claims in compliance with laws and regulations.Act as the wellness ambassador, creating and maintaining a wellness calendar.Maintain knowledge of legislation impacting benefits programs.Design and implement communication strategies for benefits and well-being programs.Compile benefits-related statistics and maintain plan changes for annual reporting.Assist with benchmarking best practices and stay updated on benefits legislation.Coordinate with vendors to implement well-being programs.Make budget recommendations for benefit initiatives.Assist with project planning and legal reporting data compilation.Interpret FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and Section 125 regulations.Streamline internal benefit procedures to meet legal requirements.Identify changes to ensure efficient workflow with vendors.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of three years of experience in corporate benefits and wellness.Experience with Cloud-based HRIS.Proactive, analytical, and experienced in administering health and wellness programs.Knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, IRS Section 125, and HIPAA regulations.Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.Detail-oriented and compliance-focused.Ability to handle confidential information.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Outstanding customer service skillsAt Talent Wave Associates, we connect outstanding talent with exceptional opportunities.
