Dignity is our guiding principle, and as demand for our services grows, so does our resolve to ensure every person we serve is respected, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.Join Us as a Skills InstructorAs a Skills Instructor, you'll work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them cultivate essential skills for successful employment, meaningful volunteer work, pursuing post-secondary education, and active community participation in various settings to achieve greater independence.What You'll DoProvide person-centered instruction through planned community activitiesSupport individuals in accessing community resources, planning engaging activities, and strengthening their skill setsTake individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the dayTrack and document progress, capturing accurate and concise case notesRedirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions to challenges. Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive supportWhat You BringA caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independenceReliable transportation to and from workA valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insuranceWillingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background checkCPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed)Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we’ll provide the trainingWhat We OfferStarting rate of $18–$25 per hour, paid weeklyFull and part-time positions available – let us know what works best for youPaid sick leaveMileage reimbursementOpportunities for growth and trainingWhy DABS?
