MMXX offers a fresh and independent home to artists in the fields of photography, motion, styling, casting, set design and beauty, rooted in the idea that an artists success comes from providing long-term strategic guidance and unwavering support in an ever changing environment.As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations in NYPosition Overview:The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, job wrapping, and financial record keeping. This role will report directly to the Founder and also support payroll, HR, and insurance administration for a small team of 4-6 employees.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting softwareManage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing and payment trackingPerform job wrapping to ensure proper allocation of project costs and revenuesReconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthlySupport payroll processing and compliance, liaising with payroll providers as neededAssist with HR administrative tasks, including benefits administration and insurance coordinationCollaborate closely with the founders on financial reporting and budgetingEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policiesIdentify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping and financial processesQualifications:Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a small agency or creative industry settingSolid understanding of bookkeeping principles, AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliationsExperience with job wrapping or project cost allocations is highly desirableFamiliarity with payroll, HR practices, and insurance administration in small businessesProficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks) and MS ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keepingAbility to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to report financial information clearlyUnderstanding of the fashion and advertising industriesFlexible work from home options available.
