Project Estimator - Construction
Job Description: Arrant Construction is seeking an experienced Project Estimator - Constructions to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction process, from initial estimates to project completion. This position will be based in Bahria Town Karachi but will primarily work on projects located in Texas, United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
Conduct site information on project requirements, labor costs, materials, and other factors affecting project cost.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of construction, from conceptual to final bid submittal.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and review quotes.
Use specialized software for estimating and project management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare and present cost summaries and proposals to clients and management.
Participate in project planning meetings to provide cost estimates and value engineering options.
Monitor and adjust estimates as project parameters change.
Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
Maintain current knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in construction estimating or a similar role.
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
