Job DescriptionPhysical Therapist Center DirectorLocation: Connecticut (1 Openings)Waterbury, CTEmployment Type: Direct Hire | On-SiteCompensation: $79,000 - $110,000 annuallySign-On Bonus: AvailableRelocation: Considered (assistance depends on location and needs)Position SummaryWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Physical Therapist Center Director to lead and provide rehabilitative services at one of two outpatient therapy centers in Connecticut. This role combines hands-on patient care with center leadership, overseeing all clinical and administrative operations. The director ensures high-quality patient outcomes, efficient workflows, and team development while fostering an exceptional patient experience.The role focuses on orthopedic and work-related injuries, helping patients recover mobility, reduce pain, and return to work safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesSpend 100% of time in the center providing direct patient care and leading by example.Supervise therapy staff and manage key clinical metrics related to quality outcomes.Ensure consistent implementation of therapy protocols and best practices.Oversee clinical workflows to optimize patient intake, referrals, scheduling, and documentation.Execute individualized therapy plans with a focus on early intervention and same-day evaluations.Create a professional and collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, quality outcomes, and patient safety.Foster relationships with employers, referral sources, and payer groups through engagement and communications.Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, occupational health standards, and applicable policies.Monitor clinical outcomes, address outlier cases, and provide feedback and coaching to staff therapists.Participate in leadership meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and overall center performance.Manage staffing levels, workflow efficiency, and team proficiency to optimize patient satisfaction and operational success.Promote center initiatives and support financial performance by understanding key business metrics (revenue, new patient intake, turnaround times).Develop staff through all aspects of the talent lifecycle, including performance management, recognition, and professional development. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred) from an accredited institution.Licensure: Must meet state licensure requirements in Connecticut.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy; leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. NEW GRADS will also be considered for this role.Demonstrated clinical knowledge of physical therapy services and leadership capabilities.Outstanding communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA/PHI compliance).Strong dedication to patient care, team development, and operational excellence.
