Vice President, Business DevelopmentDamora Therapeutics is an innovative biotechnology company that aims to fundamentally redefine care for people with hematologic disorders. Our goal is to rapidly bring forward optimized treatments with broad mutation coverage and exceptional convenience to dramatically improve patient outcomes.The VP of Business Development will play a key role in the evolution of Damora Therapeutics’ portfolio. Working closely with the Executive Team, New Product Planning, and Development functions, this individual will identify and execute opportunities to accelerate the development of Damora assets through strategic collaborations, and lead search and evaluation work to expand the portfolio of preclinical and clinical stage assets in line with corporate priorities. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this foundational role will contribute significantly to portfolio strategy, guiding potential opportunities from asset identification through transaction closing.ResponsibilitiesLead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic partnerships, including development partnerships, in-licensing, and strategic collaborations.Manage the full deal lifecycle, from initial outreach and term sheet negotiation to due diligence and definitive agreement execution.Partner with New Product Planning to provide commercial assessments and market insights for early-stage and clinical assets.Represent the company at major industry conferences (e.g., J.P. Morgan, ASCO, ASH, AACR) to build a robust network of potential biopharma partners.Oversee existing partnerships to ensure all milestones are met and maintain productive, long-term relationships with external stakeholders.Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging scientific trends, and recent M&A activity to refine the company’s competitive positioning.Competencies Demonstrated ability to collaborate across matrixed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to timelines and detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills; build trust and foster relationships internally and externallyAble to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly to evolving prioritiesDemonstration of strategic thinking and high-level planning while also balancing the ability to manage and execute operational detailsDeep understanding of drug development and commercializationStrong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.QualificationsAdvanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA or equivalent) required12+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, investment banking, or related roles within biotech, pharma, or life sciencesProven track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex strategic transactions (licensing, M&A, partnerships)Established network of connections across pharma and biotech requiredStrong financial acumen; experience with deal modeling, valuation, and term structuringExperience in oncology/hematology strongly preferredAbility to travel as needed to establish and maintain client relationshipsCompensation & BenefitsAt Damora Therapeutics, we offer competitive compensation and thoughtfully designed total rewards aligned with industry benchmarks.
