About us Firewall Centers provides daily, school-based tutoring and mentoring services designed to help students achieve academic success, build character, and transform into servant leaders. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a SAT Tutor at Lauderhill 9-12 & Coconut Creek High School. The tutor is positioned to provide students with the academic guidance and connection to resources and services they need to meet program outcomes and reach their highest potential. Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SAT Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching SAT subjects (Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing) and a proven track record of helping students improve their SAT scores. The SAT Tutor will provide individualized instruction, develop customized study plans, and engage students in an interactive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for SAT preparation, focusing on Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing. Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Teach effective test-taking strategies, time management skills, and problem-solving techniques to maximize students' SAT performance. Track and analyze students' progress, adjust lesson plans accordingly, and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted study plans. Stay up-to-date with the latest SAT exam formats, question types, and scoring methods. Motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities. Provide resources, practice materials, and homework assignments to reinforce learning outside of tutoring sessions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field. Proven experience as an SAT Tutor or in a similar teaching role, with a track record of improving student scores. Strong knowledge of SAT content, format, and test-taking strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to connect with students and create a positive and engaging learning environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and schedules. Patience, flexibility, and a passion for teaching and helping students succeed. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience teaching high school students or college-bound students.
