Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex data pipelines and platforms for enterprise analytics.• Serve as a technical leader, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring other data engineers.• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data, integrating data from various sources.• Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, and high-quality, supporting clinical, operational, financial, and research domains.• Build curated, analytics-ready datasets to enable advanced analytics, automation, and AI/ML adoption.• Drive process improvements, establish best practices for data engineering workflows, and evaluate new technologies.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.• At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform development.• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience in distributed data processing frameworks like Spark.• Hands-on expertise with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices, with experience working with regulated data.• Demonstrated experience designing and leading complex data pipelines and data platforms.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary of $138,000+, depending on qualifications.• Opportunity to work on complex data challenges within a leading academic and research institution.• Hybrid work model offering flexibility.• Mentorship and technical leadership opportunities within the data engineering team.Apply via Haystack today!
