Aircraft Upholstery Technician

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Upholstery Technicians in Ft. Pierce, Florida. This is a contract position with the opportunity for direct hire, supporting full teardown and rebuild projects on Twin Otter aircraft.Position OverviewThe Aircraft Upholstery Technician is responsible for complete seat construction and interior installation work as part of full aircraft rebuild programs. This is a hands-on role requiring precision craftsmanship and attention to detail across all phases of upholstery work.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete aircraft seat construction, including foam build up, shaping, sewing, and final coveringCut, sew, and install upholstery materials to meet design and quality specificationsInstall completed seats into aircraft, ensuring proper fit and secure attachmentFabricate and install interior components including side panels, bulkheads, and other cabin elementsInterpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructionsEnsure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standardsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentQualificationsProven experience in upholstery work from initial build through final installationStrong sewing skills and experience working with various upholstery materialsAbility to build seat foam structures and complete full seat assembliesExperience installing interiors and components within confined spacesHigh attention to detail and craftsmanshipPreferred BackgroundAircraft interior or upholstery experience strongly preferredRelevant experience in:Marine (boats)RV manufacturing or repair Additional DetailsContract position with opportunity for direct hireWork focused on complete airframe rebuilds of Twin Otter aircraftHands-on role supporting full cabin interior restoration and installationAbout STS Technical ServicesSTS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with leading aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial organizations.
