The Rotating position will have a home department but will also be used in the various Enloe clinics to help cover vacancies or help with increases in volume/workload. The Medical Assistant I – Rotating will report directly to the Practice Manager who will be responsible for assigning work sites on an as needed basis. The Medical Assistant I – Rotating position will also take direction from the Clinic Supervisor at the site in which they are working.MinimumEDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or formal medical service training program of the United States Armed ForcesORAssociates degree or higher in a clinical healthcare field (such as LVN, RN, Medical Technologist) and two years back office medical experienceORCurrently certified as a Medical AssistantDesiredFront medical office experience to include: reception; registration, scheduling, billing and medical record functionsLicenses / CertificationsCurrent CPR certificationSkills / Knowledge / AbilitiesMust be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and public. Must demonstrate basic medical / technical competence, a general knowledge of point of care laboratory equipment and capable of utilizing clerical and computer skills for a variety of medical office support functions. Must show sensitivity for the patient and their family and maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
