ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS• Develop, conduct and document training of new and existing plant employees• Update training completion matrixes as required• Actively participate in all customer mandated and internal Carlex audits as directed• Monitor and assess training and job performance activities to identify improvement opportunities to the training process• Provide feedback to plant Production and HR management regarding modifications or procedural changes to the training processes• Continuously review and update onboarding processes, new hire orientations, certifications and training related programs as required• Perform quality checks as required• Collaborate with Supervisors and Operators while monitoring the progress of trainees during the training process and communicate adjustments to the program as needed• Develop and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives• Develop and refine standardize work, One Point Lessons, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures• Collaborate with plant leadership to facilitate Kaizen events• Train and recertify Powered Lift truck operatorsREQUIREMENTSEducation:• High School diploma or GED requiredYears of Experience:• 3-5 years of experience on a Glass Tempering and Lamination line preferredOther Requirements:• Serve as a champion to implement the systematic approach to training plant-wide• IATF 16929 experience preferred, but not required• Forklift and/or Powerlift Truck certified• Demonstrated understanding of all manufacturing production processes with specific production lines• Demonstrated understanding of both the mechanical and functional operation of production equipment• Understanding of required PPE, lock out/tag out procedures and e-stops• Excellent attendance, attitude, and decision-making skills• Must be able to work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIES• Basic level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment• Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis• Ability to lead by strong work ethic• Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and goals• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with all employees at all levels• Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and TrustEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
