Material Handler Lead
Job purpose
The Material Handler Lead is responsible for warehouse functions. This individual monitors the daily activities of workers, loaders, and forklift drivers while ensuring the loading/unloading of all trucks, pulling of material requestions, receiving and shipping of materials are completed accurately, safely, efficiently, and complies GMPs, company policies and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage and direct the daily activities of workers, loaders, and forklift drivers
Efficiently supervise the loading/unloading of all trucks safely, efficiently, GMP compliant
Works closely with Production, QA, Logistics, et all to execute all planned programs
Train and supervise warehouse staff personnel
Adheres to all and enforces all policies and procedures relating to GMP, FIFO, HOLDS, and Expiry of materials
Maintain and improve Warehouse processes and procedures
Manage and model the Safety Culture and strive for 100% Safety compliance on policies
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-years’ experience in a lead position, directing Warehouse activities
3+ years Forklift experience required with an excellent Safety record
Must be proficient with operating Stand Up Reach Truck
Must have strong, positive leadership, communication, and organization skills
English skills required
Spanish skills preferred, not required
Must have strong PC skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and math skills
Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal
Demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgement
SAP, ROSS, PLEX, or other ERP environment skill and abilities a must
Working conditions
Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed
Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends
Standing/walking for long period of time
Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures
Physical requirements
A non-slip resistant work shoe
Must be able to work all shifts as directed.
Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed
Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves as needed
All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walking around the facility, lifting and carrying up t0 50-LBS unassisted, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
Also requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
Direct reports
Warehouse Supervisor/Warehouse Manager or Shift Production Manager in their absence
3rd Shift (11:00pm - 07:00am)
