Location & Eligibility Position: System Engineer in Herndon, VA; Melbourne, FL; or Colorado Springs, CO. US citizenship is required. Applicants must hold an active U.S. Government security clearance (TS/SCI). Clearance status will be verified and export control/ITAR compliance must be met.
Responsibilities Provide systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to U.S. Government customers.
Work with customers to improve architecture and engineering workflows, identifying or designing processes and tools.
Articulate and capture architecture, system requirements, system design, and testing approach.
Investigate and capture “As Is” architecture and workflows; identify “To Be” states; recommend transition from “As Is” to “To Be”.
Develop standard and repeatable processes to support architecture, engineering, development, and integration projects.
Apply System V techniques to develop products and translate them to customer practices.
Produce and support the leadership team in creating Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts.
Support engineering review boards.
Minimum Qualifications US citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
At least five years of experience performing system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, interface control documentation, ConOps development, use‑case development, data flow analysis, and test plan development.
Familiarity with a requirements tool and SCRUM/Agile development (Jira).
Experience deploying and maintaining development, test, and operational environments.
Preferred Skills Eight or more years of relevant experience.
Certification in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience with software and system development projects using MBSE.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, System V principles, and MBSE realization.
Experience on Agile or SAFe development teams.
Strong best‑practice requirements writing skills.
Pay and Benefits Base pay ranges by location: Colorado – $102,000.00 – $136,000.00 – $149,600.00 annually; Washington, DC metropolitan area – $113,000.00 – $150,000.00 – $165,000.00 annually. Other states use geographic cost‑of‑labor adjustments.
