Automotive Technicians: Local Hires Only

Automotive TechnicianExperienced automotive mechanic with expertise in transmission diagnostics, repair, and replacement, assembly, manufacturing, etc. Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing complex automotive and drivetrain systems in accordance with OEM and dealership standards. Skilled in computer-based diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and clearly communicating technical information to non-technical customers and team members.Core responsibilities:Diagnose, repair, and replace transmissions, including torque converters, valve bodies, clutches, and gear assembliesPerform advanced diagnostics on drivetrain systems using computerized diagnostic toolsIdentify transmission-related issues including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical failuresComplete complex repairs efficiently while adhering to OEM and safety standardsRemove, install, and align transmissions and related componentsDiagnose and repair related vehicle systems including engine, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVACExplain transmission diagnoses and repair recommendations in clear, non-technical terms to customers and managementFollow Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP) and repair documentation requirementsLead and support other technicians when requiredParticipate in ongoing technical training to stay current with evolving transmission technologiesPerform work in manufacturing and assembly-line environments as requiredComplete additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Strong knowledge of automatic, manual, and transmission systemsGood mechanical aptitudeAssembly and manufacturing experience requiredOEM transmission experience preferredProficient with diagnostic software and electronic transmission control systemsAbility to pass background and drug screeningStrong communication, documentation, and teamwork skillsPhysical & environmental requirements:Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 poundsComfortable working in physically demanding environmentsExposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and outdoor conditionsAbility to stand, bend, and work on feet for 8+ hour shiftEducation:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical certifications or manufacturer transmission training preferred
