This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who takes pride in their work, communicates with authenticity, and brings enthusiasm to supporting customers in the field.As a Laser Technician, you will deliver exceptional technical service, support, and installations for Mac-Tech's laser cutting machines while representing our commitment to long-term customer partnerships.Our Core ValuesHigh Performance – We take ownership, solve problems effectively, and deliver reliable results for our customers.Authenticity – We communicate honestly, act with integrity, and build trust through every interaction.Enthusiasm – We bring energy, passion, and a positive mindset to our work and customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesInstall new laser cutting equipment, including commissioning, functional testing, and operator trainingTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair laser cutting machines and related systemsIdentify, replace, and document parts as needed to restore equipment performanceDeliver exceptional customer service while working on-site at customer locationsRead, interpret, and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, drawings, manuals, and technical documentationAccurately log service activities, time, and expenses in the Service Management System on a weekly basisSupport the sales team as needed with product demonstrations and technical expertiseCommunicate clearly with the Service Manager to ensure customer expectations are met and exceededRequirementsPrevious experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial fiber laser metal cutting machinesStrong understanding of mechanical, electro-mechanical, servo-electric, electrical, and hydraulic control systemsExperience with Precitec cutting heads or similar systems preferredWorking knowledge of CNC controls and their related applicationsAbility to read, understand, and draft electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawingsExperience using multimeters and oscilloscopes; CAD/CAM experience is a plusProven ability to troubleshoot issues from initial description through diagnosis and repairTechnical training or certification in a related field preferredAbility to work independently while maintaining a high-performance standardStrong customer service and communication skills rooted in professionalism and authenticityValid driver's license with a good driving recordAvailability to work Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime and overnight travelBenefitsDispatched directly from your homeCompetitive salary, overtime, bonus opportunities, and comprehensive benefits packageIn-depth onboarding and continuous trainingDirect support from machine manufacturersCompany-provided service vehicle, laptop, and cell phoneExtensive on-the-job training and fully paid manufacturer trainingOngoing opportunities to grow technical skills and advance your careerWhy Mac-TechFor over 40 years, Mac-Tech has maintained a relentless focus on serving our customers.
