Axos BankTarget Range:90,000.00/Yr. - 150,000.00/Yr.Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.About This JobThe SOX Manager oversees and enhances the organization's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). This role involves evaluating scope and materiality, performing risk assessments and leading internal controls testing, and SOX compliance initiatives to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong audit, accounting, and risk management expertise, along with the ability to collaborate across departments.Responsibilities:Support the annual enterprise SOX risk and control assessment programPartner with control owners to identify, design and conduct the management assessment of internal controls including supporting updates and/or creation of control documentation (e.g., narrative, process flows)Lead quarterly SOX certifications to demonstrate management's evaluation of internal controls to support SEC filing including financial statements, notes and supplemental disclosures are reliable.Assess processes, risks, and controls to identify risk and control gaps as well as improvement opportunitiesReport on risk assessments, control design and effectiveness, and any significant changes n internal controls or other factors that could significantly affect internal controlsDocument, track, and validate for closure any corrective actions with regard to significant deficiencies or material weaknessesProvide support and assistance to groups performing SOX functions throughout the CompanyEstablish and maintain good working relationships with business groups and help address internal control related SOX issuesSupport process improvement and control optimization projectsProvide advice and counsel to management on internal controlsExecute on special projects and other assignments as requestedLiaise with internal/external auditors, consultants, and regulatorsSupport control owners in the preparation and execution of the annual SOX testing planPerform tests of design and support the testing of operating effectivenessAssist with the management of other audits (e.g., Operational Audits) as neededQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Finance, or related fieldCPA, CIA, or CISA preferred4+ years' experience in accounting and/or auditing at a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company performing SOX related tasks2+ years experience managing a SOX programProficient with Archer, FloQast, iGrafx, MS Office 360Axos Employee Benefits May Include:* Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance* Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks' Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)* HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits* 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan* Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout AxosBorn digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
