Electrical Project Engineer
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with architects, owners, and facility teams to align project scope, schedules, and budgetsConduct field assessments and document existing electrical systems to inform design solutionsReview architectural and engineering plans to develop system design criteria and recommendationsSupport the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systemsPrepare and review project specifications and engineering documentationPerform and review calculations (load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash, etc.)Maintain organized project documentation and engineering recordsEnsure quality and accuracy of engineering plans, specifications, and deliverablesSupport construction administration activities, including:Shop drawing reviewsResponding to RFIsSite visits and field reportsParticipation in construction meetingsPrepare technical reports and basis of design documentationParticipate in ongoing professional development and licensure progressionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in building systems engineering (e.g., commercial, healthcare, education, multi-family, etc.)Experience with electrical system design (power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, grounding, etc.)Familiarity with cost estimating, specifications, and construction administrationStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teamsAutodesk / Revit MEP experience preferredAutoCAD experience is a plusEIT / FE strongly preferred or PE preferred (not required)Project management experience is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match / profit shareFlexible work environment, including remote optionsOpportunities for career growth and advancementCollaborative, team-oriented culture with regular social and team-building events
