Construction Supervisor (contract)

Job Title: Construction Supervisor (Mechanical – Power Generation, Combustion Turbines)Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with over 10 years of hands-on experience overseeing civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes within large-scale industrial or power generation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in combustion turbine installations, maintenance, and upgrades, and a proven ability to lead field operations safely, efficiently, and within schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily construction activities across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplinesOversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of combustion turbine systems and associated equipmentEnsure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and safety standardsLead and manage subcontractors, craft labor, and field personnel to meet project milestonesConduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocolsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve field issues and optimize executionReview and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentsTrack and report project progress, delays, and resource needsEnforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety policies; lead safety meetings and auditsSupport commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and system startupsRequired Qualifications10+ years of construction supervision experience in industrial, energy, or power generation environmentsDirect experience with combustion turbine systems (installation, outage work, or commissioning)Strong working knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction practicesProven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractorsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematicsSolid understanding of safety regulations and best practices (OSHA compliance required)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsProficient with construction management tools and reporting systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience in combined cycle or simple cycle power plantsBackground in turbine OEMs (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi)Familiarity with commissioning and startup proceduresRelevant certifications (OSHA 30, NCCER, PMP, or equivalent)Technical degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience)Work EnvironmentPrimarily field-based at construction or power plant sitesMay require extended hours, weekends, and travel depending on project needsExposure to industrial environments, including noise, heat, and heavy equipmentPay Rate Range55 - 63 USD hourly
