Job DescriptionNewrest is looking for an HR Generalist who is responsible for providing day-to-day partnership alongside the HR Manager, Unit Manager, Operation Managers to drive management support & employee engagement through positive employee relations, fair application of policies and processes, and employee development .Although the position handles a wide scope of human resources responsibilities, a majority of the emphasis and experience will be placed in the areas outlined below. Back up to HR Intern in Helping to Screen and Contact Candidates for Interviews. Facilitation and Communication in Recruitment Outreach, Which May Include Job Fairs. Support and Coordinating with the HR Admins, As Needed, For New Hire Onboarding. Training and Development:Aids HR Manager in Administrating Training Programs for Soft Skills and Management Training. Aids HR Manager in Communication, Training, and Support in Policies and Procedures Both Internal to Newrest and Mandated by Utah and Federal Laws. Compliance and Administration:Aids HR Manager In and Ensuring Processing, Compliance, Tracking and Reporting, Efficiency, and Communication As It Pertains To:Weekly Payroll; Including Payroll Audits, Corrections, and AssistanceWorker's CompensationIncident Reporting/OSHAFMLAADAUnemployment VerificationCourt Issued Garnishments, Child Supports, and Medical Support OrdersPersonnel Changes: Assistance with Terminations, Promotions, Transfers, etc. Employee Relations:Works Closely Along Side HR Manager and Unit/Operation Managers to Help Handle Employee Complaints That Cannot Be Resolved by the Employee's Manager and/or Needing the Assistance of HR. Aids HR Manager in Escalation Serious Complaints and Claims to the Human Resources Manager and Unit/Operation ManagersAids HR Manager in Ensuring That Claims Are Handled in a Sensitive and Confidential Manner to Ensure Fairness For All Parties Involved. Aids HR Manager in Communicating Policy Changes to Employees and Managers. Reporting and Analytics:Issues Daily Reports to Provide Management a Consistent View of Scheduled Vs. Worked Hours, Including Overtime. Aids HR Manager in Issuing Custom Reports Requested by ManagersOther:Communication and Overall Support to Managers and Employees. Open Enrollment, Special Enrollment, and Assistance with Benefit Questions. Scheduling and Coordination of Monthly Random Drug Testing. Completes Other Projects, Assignments, and Tracking as Required by Circumstance or as Directed by the HR Manager. Regular, Timely, and Predictable Attendance is Required for this Position. Performs Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned and as Business Needs Dictate. Additional FunctionsAssists Other HR Team Members in Support of Team Support and Collaboration. Education And Experience Requirements1-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in an HR Generalist or Recruiter role. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or other related degree strongly preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesProficient knowledge of state laws regarding payroll and benefits requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams, especially Excel preferred. Proficient in ADP and Employee Navigator, preferred. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to analyze information and communicate it in a clear fashion. Exceptional attention to detail. Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to complete details with accuracy. Strong analytical skills. Great customer service skills. Collaborates well with a team as well as work independently. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing schedules and priorities.
