IT Project Manager 4 – ERP Modernization ProgramLos Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)Location: Remote (U.S.-based) with occasional travel to Los Alamos, NMJob Type: Full-TimeClearance Requirement: Ability to obtain DOE “Q” ClearancePay Range$80-$86/hourlyPosition OverviewLos Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking an experienced and highly driven IT Project Manager 4 to support the Laboratory’s enterprise-wide ERP Modernization Program. This critical role will lead and coordinate complex IT initiatives supporting the implementation of modern enterprise business systems and technologies across finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain, data, and related IT services.This position is primarily remote with occasional travel required for onsite planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, and program activities in Los Alamos, New Mexico.The ideal candidate is an expert-level project manager with strong technical acumen in ERP modernization initiatives, especially within SAP ecosystems, cloud data platforms, integrations, and enterprise transformation programs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery activities for ERP modernization IT workstreamsManage technical project activities involving:SAP S/4HANADatabricksSAP Business Data CloudEnterprise integrations and APIsData platforms and reporting systemsInfrastructure and environment readinessDevelop and maintain:Project plansSchedules and milestonesRisk and issue logsResource and dependency trackingExecutive status reportingCoordinate across internal IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, system integrators, PMO, and Organizational Change Management (OCM) teamsTrack vendor deliverables and manage third-party dependenciesFacilitate project meetings and ensure follow-through on action itemsManage scope, budget, schedule, communications, and stakeholder expectationsTranslate complex technical information into clear executive-level reportingEnsure compliance with cybersecurity, governance, regulatory, and Laboratory standardsRecommend and implement improvements to project delivery processes and reporting practicesRequired QualificationsProject Management Expertise12+ years of experience managing complex IT projects across the full project lifecycleProven experience managing:ScopeBudgetScheduleRisks and issuesDeliverablesChange controlERP & Technical ExperienceExperience supporting large-scale ERP modernization or implementation initiativesStrong preference for SAP S/4HANA experienceExperience with:Enterprise integrationsAPIsCloud platformsData modernizationReporting and analytics environmentsDatabricks and SAP Business Data Cloud preferredTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of:System architectureInfrastructure dependenciesDatabases and integrationsEnterprise applicationsIT delivery methodologiesLeadership & CommunicationAbility to coordinate across technical and business organizationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven success driving accountability and delivery across cross-functional teamsAbility to work independently in fast-paced, highly matrixed environmentsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related fieldEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be consideredPreferred QualificationsPMP CertificationCertified Scrum Master or SAFe certificationExperience supporting ERP transformation programs in:FinanceHRProcurementSupply ChainPMO governance and executive reporting experienceExperience in highly regulated or federal environmentsKnowledge of DOE, cybersecurity, procurement, or compliance requirementsActive DOE “Q” Clearance or ability to obtain one
