Job OverviewSearch Solution Group is seeking a Compensation Manager on behalf of our client, a farm and livestock retail company.The Compensation Manager will lead the development and execution of the organization's compensation strategy. This role reports directly to the CHRO and offers the opportunity to build and modernize compensation programs, establish best practices, and serve as a strategic business partner.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the organization's compensation philosophy and long-term compensation strategy.Evaluate and redesign salary structures, pay ranges, midpoint analysis, and compensation ratios.Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using compensation survey tools.Analyze internal and external compensation data to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to provide strategic compensation guidance.Review and recommend compensation adjustments, promotions, and organizational changes.Support annual compensation planning, merit increases, and incentive programs.Maintain compensation policies, procedures, and governance to ensure consistency and compliance.Utilize UKG and other HR systems to manage compensation data and reporting.Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes and build scalable programs to support future growth.Collaborate with the CHRO on Total Rewards initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.Master's degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.ExperienceProgressive experience in compensation or Total Rewards, preferably in a retail or multi-site environment.Experience developing or rebuilding compensation programs and salary structures.Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic compensation initiatives.Experience using UKG and compensation survey platforms such as PayFactors preferred.Leadership experience within Compensation or Total Rewards is highly preferred.SkillsCompensation strategy development.Salary benchmarking and market pricing.Compensation analytics and reporting.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and HRIS platforms.Project management and organizational planning.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.CertificationsCertified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred but not required.KnowledgeCompensation program design and administration.Salary structures, pay grades, and market analysis.Retail or multi-location workforce compensation practices.HRIS systems, including UKG.Compensation compliance and employment regulations.Best practices in Total Rewards and organizational design.Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and business partnership.Leadership and initiative.Analytical and data-driven decision-making.Adaptability and comfort working through ambiguity.Collaboration and relationship building.Strong organizational and project management skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and presentation skills.Continuous improvement mindset.Company OverviewCompany Industry: RetailLocation: Appleton, WIEqual Opportunity Employer StatementSearch Solution Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and respected.
