Senior Software Quality EngineerSummaryOur client seeks a Staff/Senior Software Quality Engineer with proven experience operating at a senior or staff level capacity. This role requires a track record of designing scalable automation frameworks, leading quality strategy across multiple teams, and driving best practices while influencing engineering decisions. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and scale automated test solutions for both web applications and APIs, ensuring overall quality, reliability, and stability of software releases.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and scale automated test solutions for web applications and APIsLead quality strategy across multiple teams and design scalable automation frameworksWork on cross-functional agile team and actively participate in team meetingsExpand automation framework capabilities and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelinesMentor engineers and drive quality best practices across the organizationQualificationsProven experience operating at senior or staff level Software Quality Engineer capacityAdvanced hands-on experience with Karate Framework or Rest Assured (required)Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern UI automation (required/strongly preferred)Expertise in JMeter and BlazeMeter for performance testing (required)Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, and CTEs (Oracle SQL)Deep familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab integrationPreferredStrong experience testing distributed/microservices architecturesExperience with authentication methods (OAuth, JWT) and mocking servicesCloud exposure (AWS) and containerization (Docker)Scripting experience (Java/JavaScript/TypeScript)Exposure to using AI in testingMonitoring/observability experience (New Relic) and basic security testing knowledge (OWASP)This is a 6-Month Contract with extensions opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
