Automotive Technician

As an Automotive Technician at Generation Auto Group, you are responsible for accurately inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. You play a key role in ensuring every vehicle is safe, dependable, and repaired correctly the first time. Your technical skill, attention to detail, and efficiency directly impact customer satisfaction, shop productivity, and the overall success of our service operations. Your Impact The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to: Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tires, brakes, fluids, filters, NYS Inspections, and batteries. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues efficiently. Review customer concerns, complete approved repairs, and ensure vehicles operate properly. Notify management if no issue is found or if assistance is needed. Training & Technical Skills Complete required manufacturer training. Stay current with automotive technology and repair methods. Continuously develop technical skills and certifications. Documentation Accurately document all work performed. Complete both print and video Multi-Point Inspections and communicate recommended services. Enter clear technician notes  Teamwork & Communication Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts, Dispatch, and Management. Provide updates on repair status and parts needs. Customer Care & Cleanliness Return vehicles clean and properly set up for the customer. Take pride in quality workmanship and presentation.
