Sharp Solutions, Inc. has an immediate need for a Costpoint Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This position is 100% remote. The Costpoint Accounting Manager will perform and manage the day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close and assist with Human Resource/Payroll duties. Responsibilities: Responsible for project setup and proper revenue recognition in Deltek for our government contracts Manage the full cycle accounting system and training other accountants when needed Prepare, review, approve and submit monthly A/R invoices Reconcile unbilled receivables on a monthly basis Assist and manage the A/P invoices for payment processing Perform secondary review of accounts payable vouchers ensuring FAR compliance Prepare annual 1099s Review and process labor/timesheet corrections and post finalized labor distribution Process semi-monthly payroll, prepare and post related payroll entries Prepare and record month-end journal entries Prepare monthly bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare and present to management accurate and timely monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Prepare and present to management monthly project reports to include burn projections Prepare annual budgets and reforecasting Prepare annual DCAA Incurred Cost Submission Assist with corporate audit and tax requests (annual financial audit, DCAA incurred cost, etc.) Develop, implement and manage accounting policies and procedures Provide general accounting support at other levels within the organization Work closely with the company’s junior accountant and outsourced accounting service HR duties to include offer letters, onboarding, manage performance review process, create/update HR forms, termination process and distribution of company policies. Assist and manage new hire onboarding process, Costpoint new user set up, timesheet access, maintenance and timesheet training Join company meetings for support of this role and related support to other integral departments Other duties as assigned Qualifications U.S. Citizenship Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (transcripts are required) 7+ years of government contracting experience required Deltek Costpoint experience is required Self-starter with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills High attention to detail without losing sight of big picture Proficient with organization and time management Able to work effectively within a team Able to engage effectively with management Able to take ownership of obtaining results within the parameters of own authority without waiting for others to follow up; actively seek to find ways to improve results; Suggest options that would improve the accounting process Intermediate understanding of GAAP and basic industry-specific principles Knowledge of industry compliance requirements (e.g. FAR in GovCon) Proficient in computers and standard office applications Proficient with Deltek Costpoint Accounting system (at minimum version8.1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with customers, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
