Shop Operator 1 - MFG

JOB SUMMARY:Perform an array of functions that may include helping in several different departments; grinding, inspections, painting and marking parts. When needed, could assist in pulling orders and boxing parts in the Warehouse.QUALIFICATIONS:1+ years of general warehouse relatedExperience with manufacturing / shop environment a plusAbility to cross-train in different areas of warehouse to assist where neededExcellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team playerEnsure all safety rules are strictly observedQualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug testRESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with grinding (hand grinder)Assist with checking parts (Inspection depart)Assist with marking parts / painting partsAssist with pulling ordersAssist with boxing parts in the warehouseMaintains safe and clean work environment, sweep, dust and mop.Wear the proper safety equipment at all timesAny other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or managerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRegularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally life and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlOccasionally required to sit and climb or balanceSpecific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
