Financial Reporting Manager

Our client, a growing Suffolk County, New York, niche construction business is looking to grow its team by adding a Financial Reporting Manager.The successful candidate will possess the ability to efficiently organize, analyze, and present financial data to Senior Management, but also be able to provide hands-on duties as they relate to the month and quarter close process.This role requires full-time, in-office presence in their Suffolk County, New York Headquarters.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statementsPrepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and presentations for internal and external partiesOrganize and analyze financial dataLead the development and implementation of improvements to procedures and internal controlsParticipate in the budgeting processParticipate in the year-end audit processResearch relevant accounting treatment of transactions and new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP compliancePrepare and maintain analyses for various financial and operational business activitiesAssist in the coordination of information flow between internal departmentsAnswer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting dataParticipate in special projects and additional duties as needed QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceCertified Public Accountant preferred and 5+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent project management and interpersonal skillsWork effectively in a team environment and independentlyMust be highly proficient in Excel, experience with Sage a plusPrevious experience in construction or architecture is a major plus
