Electrical Technician
ArcPoint Electric Solutions Inc. is hiring an Electrical Technician to support commercial and critical-facility clients across the NYC Tri-State Area. If you’re a sharp troubleshooter who takes pride in safe, clean work and clear documentation, we’d love to meet you.What you’ll do· Troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial and critical-facility environments (power distribution, panels, feeders, controls).· Perform transformer and switchgear testing and support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.· Perform renovations and small fit-outs (lighting, devices, circuits, panel modifications) while maintaining a clean, safe jobsite.· Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, schematics, and panel schedules.· Document findings clearly (test results, deficiencies, photos, recommendations) and help produce client-ready reports.· Support compliance-driven work (NFPA/NEC best practices, arc flash labeling environments, safety documentation).· Communicate professionally with facility teams and internal leadership; escalate risks and critical findings quickly.· Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and represent ArcPoint with a high standard of workmanship.What we’re looking for· Strong electrical troubleshooting ability (you can isolate problems methodically and explain the “why”).· Hands-on experience with switchgear and transformer testing (or closely related power distribution testing).· Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.· Excellent documentation habits (organized notes, accurate test data, clear punch lists).· Safety-first mindset; comfortable working in live/energized environments when required and authorized.· Reliable, professional, and responsive—clients count on us.Experience With· Experience with infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, or power quality monitoring.· Familiarity with NFPA 70E/70B, NETA-style testing documentation, or arc flash programs.· OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, or similar safety credentials.· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.Why ArcPoint· Work that matters: we help clients reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and stay compliant.· High standards, clear expectations, and a team that values integrity and craftsmanship.· Opportunity to grow into advanced testing, reporting, and leadership responsibilities.How to applySend your resume and a brief note about your experience with troubleshooting + switchgear/transformer testing.
