Server Hostess

1824 Kitchen & Bar is looking for friendly, energetic team members to join our front-of-house team as a Server / Hostess for our dinner shift. Located at the Marriott properties at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, we serve hotel guests, travelers, and local diners in a welcoming, casual dining atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a growing restaurant team. Lunch shifts will be added soon, creating opportunities for additional hours. Responsibilities: • Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations • Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests • Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions Qualifications: • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Previous experience working in food service is preferred • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Outstanding time management and organizational skills • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Compensation: $2.13 - $5 hourly
