About this Role Blue Owl is inviting applications for a Senior Associate orVice President position within its Responsible Investing & ESG team. The successful candidate will engage with all investment platforms of the company, ensuring the integration of crucial environmental, social, and governance considerations into every step of the investment process. The role offers a chance to be at the heart of ESG integration, focusing on private credit investments. Candidates will demonstrate a strong capability in guiding investment teams in assessing ESG risks and opportunities, enhancing the firm’s responsible investment strategies. This opportunity is well-suited for individuals who are intellectually curious and passionate about applying ESG principles to the dynamics of private market investments. Responsibilities Collaborate with investment teams to evaluate material ESG risks and opportunities. Support the evolution and application of ESG integration tools and frameworks at Blue Owl Capital. Lead or contribute to ESG research on emerging trends and sustainability themes relevant to private markets. Monitor portfolio ESG issues and oversee counter-party engagement for effective data collection and reporting. Ensure consistent utilization of ESG screening templates, risk matrices, and monitoring protocols. Support capital raising efforts through ESG-related client communications and reporting. Collaborate across teams to align with the RI & ESG team’s strategic priorities. Represent Blue Owl in ESG engagement activities with investment entities and industry partners. Requirements 4-6 years of experience in ESG, sustainable investing, or related fields. Passion for markets and sustainability, able to demonstrate ESG impacts on returns and value creation. Strong collaborative skills, capable of building and maintaining trust with teams and stakeholders. Strategic thinking with a robust analytical capability to tackle complex ESG subjects. Familiar with ESG standards like SASB/ISSB, PRI, and TCFD. Advanced academic credentials or CFA preferred. Excellent communication skills.
