This practice advises sophisticated global clients-including asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, multinational companies, and major financial institutions-on the full spectrum of U.S. national security regulatory regimes. The role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of complex, high-stakes regulatory, transactional, and enforcement matters within a top-ranked national security practice.Candidate ProfileJD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.6+ years of substantive experience advising on U.S. national security and regulatory matterSubstantial experience providing compliance advice related to economic sanctions, export controls, and outbound investment restrictions, including matters involving OFAC, EAR/BIS, ITAR/DDTC, and OGTExperience advising clients throughout the CFIUS and DCSA processes, including transaction agreement negotiation, filing preparation and submission, mitigation negotiations, and ongoing compliance with mitigation measuresExperience conducting internal investigations, preparing voluntary disclosures, and supporting settlement negotiations with enforcement authorities is a plusStrong analytical and drafting skills; two written work samples are required for evaluationKey ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on U.S. national security regulatory regimes, including economic sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, DCSA, and outbound investment restrictionsSupport clients in transactional matters, including national security risk assessment, deal structuring, and regulatory strategyPrepare and submit CFIUS and DCSA filings, negotiate mitigation agreements, and advise on compliance with mitigation obligationsProvide strategic compliance counseling and support internal investigations related to potential regulatory violationsAssist clients with voluntary disclosures, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement matters before relevant U.S. authoritiesWhy Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to join a top-ranked National Security practice recognized by leading industry publications, including Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 US.
