We have offices in Puerto Rico (headquarters) and Washington, DC.Position OverviewThe Data Conversion Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of converting data from various sources into formats suitable for conversion to Oracle Cloud Financial software. This individual will play a pivotal role in understanding conversion requirements, creating database tables, executing SQL queries, and optimizing SQLs to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data effectively.Duties and Responsibilities Write fast and performant database queries using MS SQL Server, ensuring efficient data retrieval.Implement and adhere to naming standards for database objects, promoting consistency and clarity in our data environment.Utilize your programming skills to develop scripts for loading conversion data into the MS SQL database, ensuring accuracy and reliability in data migration.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, utilizing your problem-solving skills to maintain optimal performance.Perform SQL database indexing procedures as necessary to facilitate the smooth conversion process and perform data validation.Develop, optimize, and implement stored procedures to enhance data processing efficiency.Utilize database analytical tools to assess performance, generate insightful reports, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.Data Extraction, transformation, and loading.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher software development, Computer Science, Engineering, information technology, data management, or related field.Proficiency in at least one SQL variant, such as MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.The ability to craft fast and efficient database queries, including expertise in joining and cross-referencing data across multiple tables.Familiarity with Python programming to develop scripts for data loading.Familiarity with standard database management tools and software, enabling effective database maintenance.Proficiency of Microsoft Office products, database management and database connections, coding languages, pivot table analyses, Power BI, and reporting.Excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Bilingual: Business proficient in English and Spanish
